KANSAS CITY BALLET
Kostas is currently working on a new creation for the Kansas City Ballet, under the direction of Devon Carney. New Moves, one of Kansas City Ballet’s most popular performances, showcases contemporary ballet in an intimate setting. Assisted by former Hubbard Street Apprentice Kelsey Matsch, with original music composed by Conner Giles. This is Kostas’ first piece for the Kansas City Ballet.
Playing with a shift in perspective by reframing the ways in which we see, and the ways in which we are seen. Inspired by John Berger’s book, “WAYS OF SEEING” that declares, “we only see what we look at, so to look is an act of choice.” Soon after we see, we are aware that we may also be seen. It is about looking, the experience of looking, and that it will be entirely your own.
